Baby smiling

I’m not a first time mom so I know I sound ridiculous as most babies won’t smile until 6 weeks at the earliest but I swear my daughter is smiling at times and not the wind kind 😂 it’s always in response to me getting close to her making silly noises

You didn’t say how old! Mine is almost 6 weeks but I have sworn she is smiling for a couple weeks because, like you said, it is in response to specific things that I am saying or doing in close proximity to her face.

My baby is 3 and a half weeks and 100% has been smiling in response to us talking to her. It’s so different to her windy smile. My first baby also started smiling around 4 weeks so I’d say it’s a real smile xx

@Megan I just realised I didn’t haha she’s 4 weeks old!

same, my baby smiled at around 3 weeks! I made him smile

This is my daughter at 4 days old…

that's so sweet! sounds like she’s already got a little personality, those early smiles are the best! 😊 this is what the 'Heal Baby Care App' mentioned… hope it helps! "It's wonderful to hear that your daughter is responding to you with smiles! While most babies do start smiling around 6 weeks, some can show social smiles a bit earlier, especially in response to familiar faces and sounds. Your interactions are likely encouraging her to express herself, which is a great sign of bonding. Keep enjoying those moments-they're precious! How old is your daughter now?

@Susan why do you keep talking about the heal baby care app? in every single comment that’s what you say.. are you even a real profile?
