Hey I'm in the same boat as you. My partner is very worried. If my lo is not walking by the time he's 18 months then I will start to worry
Get someone to hold on to her hands and stand in the middle of a room, get someone else to hold a favourite toy infront of her and you stand about 8 steps in front of her. Dangle the toy and get the other person to walk with it towards you
I’m in the same boat my daughter is nearly 17 months doesn’t walk x
I’m in the same situation here too, my daughter is 17 months tomorrow. It actually frustrates me when people try to give me advice because when I say I try everything I mean I try everything, every single day 😭. She can walk just holding one hand now but still hasn’t taken any independent steps. I’m going to contact HV if she’s not walking at 18 months 😭 x
Barefoot is best as they can use all the foot muscles Don't use any sit on walkers etc they are bad for hips Just keep encouraging to step between objects, push walkers/prams etc, and praise lots Try not to be nervous when stepping as can make little one nervous too If not walking by 18 months maybe seek support just to check over and make sure all healthy
Hey x I’m going through same thing here. He started taking first steps and pulling himself up at 14 months then all of a sudden he stopped. Raised the issue with HV who said to wait until 18mth. I came across a video explaining about something called babinski reflex on TikTok, did a few exercises on him and few days later he started taking steps again he is 16months now and It’s been a month now since he started taking steps, he isn’t fully walking and it still worries me but at least is a starting point xx
Thank you everyone, I'll try all the suggestions 😊
@Devon that's what I thought (about being barefoot) but her nursery insisted on me trying shoes to support her ankles, so I try a mixture of both
Mine was only 15.5 months, she will very soon! Xxx
