We're 7.5m and have just added in 1 bottle of formula a day, purely because I can't pump well and so dad can give a feed, and if I'm ever away for a period we know she'll accept the bottle. (Took a while to get her to take to the bottle especially since she's cmpa so needed special formula which is rancid) no plans to give up the boob anytime soon though🖤🖤
EBF my twins who are 8m - so proud of us. And grateful because imagine how much I would’ve spent on formula 😝
EBF 8 months yesterday - I wouldn’t necessarily say ‘proud’, it’s actually SO much easier than bottle feeding (had to exclusively pump with my first as he wouldn’t latch then combi then formula at the end). Moreso I’d say I feel very lucky to be able to have it easy this time and breastfeed!
Yes, it's just over 8 months here. He also goes to nursery, which he started 3 weeks ago. I've pumped like crazy in between feeds to make sure he had plenty for nursery (as literally no idea how much he drinks). So far, he's having 2-3 150ml bottles of expressed milk. luckily, he'll happily drink bottles straight from the fridge so nothing gets wasted. I'm hoping to continue breastfeeding until he's at least 1 and can have whole cows milk instead. Definitely saves sanity and money breastfeeding. The washing, sterilising, and prepping bottles every night is not fun tho, so glad it's only a couple of bottles for a few months!
She has one bottle maybe 2/3 times a week but majority is bf. It's nice to know she'll take a bottle if I go out

@Allie I agree that it must be easier than bottle feeding but it is something that you’re allowed to be proud of too. Not least the fact that it solely lies with you as the breast feeder and the seemingly endless cluster feeding nights alone etc. I know I am lucky to be able to breastfeed but I am also extremely proud of me and my babies for not giving up.
@Han I agree with this! BF is quite literally equivalent to a full-time job lol and can be incredibly taxing on the mind and body. It’s not an easy way out at all and pride is an appropriate feeling to have ☺️

Baby boy has one bottle of formula a day as he wasn’t gaining weight but is breastfed the rest of the time :) I will be starting to wean him soon though 😂 so by the time he’s one I can be done with breastfeeding as I’m going back to work
