Am I missing something?

Tonight whilst walking up to bath my LB, we now count up the steps as he likes to try walk them himself. I was counting one, two, three etc and noticed he remembered the sequence of “seven” and “eight”. I was very happy but then went on Google and someone has mentioned this could be a sign of autism if babies are counting before 2/3 years old. I don’t believe he is actually counting but rather remembering a sequence. Should I be concerned? He does not do anything that worries me. I mean, he does flap his hands if excited and he is not walking at 13 months but I thought this is all pretty normal? He talks well - bubbles, Mama, star, duck, Nana, Rafa. He also knows noises of some animals. I never thought to be concerned but am I missing something as a FTM? Thanks x

My second is the same….sometimes he really surprises me in what he does/say…. He also flaps his hands when excited! Honestly, enjoy these little moments …babies are weird and wonderful ❤️

I don't think so 😊 my boy is also like this, I just think he's very clever! They're like little sponges and copy everything. You'd probably notice more sensory traits with autism at this age than anything. But tbh even that wouldn't be accurate! As they're just learning so much and forming their personalities more everyday.

I googled the mark on my leg and Google told me it was cancer. 🤣 Please don't worry. The internet links everything to something concerning. It should not be used for medical advice. Kids are funny, strange, random. All of them. Counting in a different order is just them experimenting with sequences and patterns, which is extremely normal for their age.

Thank you all very much! I am just a very anxious FTM and Google should be banned from my phone 🙈

Don’t worry everyone is different. My daughter is 3 and half and she’s always been super bright and intelligent from really young. No concerns for autism. Maybe ADHD but not autism. But completely normal to feel concerned because I was the same! And still am with things. X
