Milk supply

I really need some tricks and tips to increase my breast milk supply. I have been pumping irregularly but I was regular yesterday, every 3-4 hours and my supply has dipped. In one of them there is no milk at all and I kept pumping for a good 20 mins. I’m hydrating myself, eating good (just cried a lot recently) What else can I do? 😥😭

Why do you think you need to increase supply? Pumping isn't a true sign of what you are producing.

Your milk will come in in full capacity for your body whenever it’s ready, trying to force it will cause you a lot of pain and discomfort. If you want to, the feeding team at my hospital said that there are massages you can do, and make sure you are hydrating yourself whilst pumping but your body knows what it’s doing, just be kind to yourself and be patient

Drink ginger, turmeric and fennel seeds water, Boil it n drink it

Ask your doctor to recommend the nurse the specializes with lactating/nursing/breastfeeding, and they may be able to help with both the production as well as help with easing your mind. I forgot their proper name as that kind of nurse, though...

Pumping will ultimately give a lot of breast pain in long term ...try to do breast feed as much as possible, and give topup to baby ...pumping for first. 1 or 2 month is f9...bt don't survive on pumping too much ....

Try tht drink I mention u will see a change

How old is little one? I took pure moringa, and drank herbal teas. It seemed to help. Feeding is a true way to increase. Little one will get way more than any pump will.. massaging and warm baths too. A down mood will lower your supply, and I know it's easier to say than do, I've been there but try not to worry too much. You're body will produce enough! Xx

Pump in between feeds and during feeds for at least 10 min. Oatmeal/ oats. And one of the breast ice packs that you can heat up, heat one and put it on your boob. It says no longer than 15 min but I slept w it on and I stg it’s magic

Fenugreek and blessed thistle tablets, coconut water, oatmeal, regular pumping/feeding, and try not to stress. I struggled a lot with my supply and these are the things that worked the best for me.

@Wynona Yea those are lactation consultants. I have been calling her and it goes to voicemail. Hopefully one day she’ll call me back 😅

@Shivani Jain with my first born- as soon as I gave him formula he didn’t like breastmilk. So I don’t want to give my second baby yet. And she doesn’t take the breast. She recently started rejecting it and would cry inconsolably for the bottle

@Annie thanks for reminding me about oatmeal. I totally forgot about it

@Jess my MIL has been troubling me a lot. So I have no option other than cry. But I will try not to because stress just lowered my supply! My baby just rejects the breast! I want her to be back on it and I’m trying

@Ali but my ducts are not clogged. I did that a few weeks back when they were.

@Megan have been having fenugreek. Might increase the amount. Oatmeal - totally forgot about that, but will go and have just now!! 😋
