I stopped after a month because she wasn’t latching properly and would cause blisters on me. Come to find out at 2 months appointment she had a tongue tie. First time mom so it didn’t occur to me to ask after birth but you’d think thats something they’d check for and tell u given how they realized I was struggling to feed really bad
Milk supply comes and goes, and it is very stressful at times
Still going after latch issues, now pumping and he has so many allergies and I can’t eat anything good. Looking forward to that year mark 😭😂😂
I am still breastfeeding. My son is so crazy, he’s 7 months old and likes to nurse obviously to eat but also for fun/ to play, for comfort, to sleep etc. I feel so lucky. It wasn’t easy at first figuring out how to get him to properly latch on both sides. Now that he has teeth it’s getting hard again because he bites, but I plan to breastfeed for two years.
I was never able to breastfeed due to supply, latch, size, etc. So we've been doing formula since day 1.
It was so hard at the beginning getting the latch right and actually getting him to stay awake during feedings. I had to pump mostly for the first month or two. We are now doing great with latching and it’s easier to not have to wash so many bottles and pump parts. I’m done at 12 months.. mama wants Botox 😏😁
I combo fed for the first 4 months because I had such a low supply, then switched to exclusive formula because I was pumping every 2 hours round the clock for barely any milk. I’m glad I gave her breast milk as long as I did for her early development. She’s healthy and about to turn 7 months
I combo fed the first 3 months because my milk supply was decreasing. Then I start exclusively Breastfeeding and my milk supply can back. I always hated pumping so I stuck to the convenience of breastfeeding (especially in the middle of the night) and still going strong to this day. The only time I give formula is when my husband or daughter is watching him but even then he doesn’t want it and will wait until I get back.
We combo fed for 5 months, but we went out so often where I didn't feel comfortable feeding in public and people made me feel like I was faking how often he needed to eat that my supply started going down a lot. Then, I ended up in the hospital and he wasn't allowed to come in because of some flu restriction, so I completely lost my supply. It sucks and I'm pretty bitter about it
I’m still breastfeeding my 2 year old along with my 7 month old. I’m ready to be done lol
My daughter is in the 92nd percentile and the Dr said she's healthy and if I wanted to stop I can. I'm so exhausted with pumping all the time. Latching was an issue so I had to do this. My first I had an accident and needed pain meds so I had to quit at 6 months and my second, I didn't produce and with her I do but want to quit and also have injured my knee and may need surgery. I feel guilty quiting now, I have 3 bags left of an open box of milk bags. Is it bad I want to stop???? Help
@Nicolle I’m in similiar situation I wanna get him off boob onto formula but feel so guilty and I don’t even know why. Baby is 99th & 94th % I only ever planned to go for 6 months 👀 now I’m hooked lol
We exclusively pump but we are still going strong. I worked really hard the first 3 months and built a nice little stash that I can take from whenever I don’t make enough so it takes the pressure off.
Combo feeding, bf 3/4 times a day
