Definitely what Lucy said! Make sure they’re fed and with a clean nappy, and a little walk with the pram is probably easiest to start x
I went out with my partner or my mum or a friend the first few times just to gain my confidence in taking my son out x
It’s really normal to feel anxious. Start small like others have said- a walk, pop to a local small shop and try to make sure baby is clean/ fed. Meeting people at coffee shops etc is good too. Big thing to remember is- baby’s cry and people won’t be horrified if yours does. Your baby’s cry affects you in a way it won’t do to anyone else so it’s ok if they cry. 🩷 I find reminding myself that I can always leave somewhere helps when I’m super anxious- (I had a baby with cmpa/ colic first time round so left a lot of places but I was proud of myself for trying 🤣)
Also if you try any baby groups they are a great start as you’ll soon realise that every baby cries/ needs feeding/ doesn’t sleep when you’re out and everyone’s in the same boat. ❤️
I have anxiety as well and tbh I’ve spent the entire month since little girl been born in hospital because of infections and a rare life threatening infection so me even leaving the house once I came home last week was a challenge I did have my husband with me which did help but honestly making sure baby is fed nappy changed and maybe asleep is great but also if formula fed which mine is a spare bottle and formula and hot water is what we been doing knowing if she gets hungry and we have spare food for her makes it a little easier x
Just make sure baby is fed/burped/clean bun before you go, easier said than done tbh! Don’t go anywhere far, just for a walk? It will get better when you do it a few times. It definitely is hard to begin with x
