Sex after a c-section

Does sex feel the same after a C section? I haven’t had sex since conceiving and my baby turns one this month but the thought of sex scares me for some reason

I had sex 3 weeks postpartum and it was so painful but we tried again the next day and it was so good just like it was before. Just listen to your body and you will be fine. Does your baby turn 1 month old this month or a year? X

I personally waited the advices 6 weeks and to me it did feel tighter I think it most likely would if you haven’t had sex for around 10 months everything down there would tighten up especially as with the c section there was not stretching for the baby to come out

I couldn’t wait to have sex, it was fine.

I had a planned c-section, so I never dilated and baby never descended into the pelvis so of course it may be very different depending on how it happened for you. I waited about 6 weeks and apart from the scar that still hurt a bit at that point, everything else felt pretty much the same. Can't say the same about my vaginal delivery however. It hurt for at least 8-9 months, probably due to pelvic floor issues (that can happen even with a c-section, depending on how much pressure the baby put on your pelvic floor at the end of the pregnancy). If you're very nervous about it, it's more likely to hurt. Using some lube is probably a good idea. Doing some kegels before to help relax the muscles helps as well (my physiotherapist gave me that advice and it made a huge difference when I did it vs when I didn't).

@Jess one year girl 😭 I miss getting cracked but I’m tryna be good and wait till marriage 🥲

It really depends on how you’ve recovered and if you’ve had any pelvic issues. It was really painful for me but I had hypertonic pelvic floor.

A little tighter the first time after, but otherwise the same.

@Jan how long did you wait???

@Kelsey I think it was about 4 weeks

@Jan I'm only 2 weeks so I was wondering what is okay! Lol

@Kelsey I was a little sore still but I told him to not put pressure on that area.

It’s so painful for me 😭 baby is 10 months old and emergency c section. I’ve been for an ultrasound scan but they couldn’t find any issues. 😥

Nope

With my first I had sex after 2 weeks post c section which is stuuupid don’t do that but I was dying lol and then with my second I waited the recommended 6 weeks it feels exactly the same if not better cause you’ve waited so damn long
