any moms who have immigrated to AUS what was that like?

so my dad is a born and raised australian and i think that would make it easier for me to get citizenship? they never applied me for dual citizenship in my childhood or anything which obviously would have made it SIGNIFICANTLY easier but now as an older woman with a child (who is ready to leave amercia for her sake and my own) im wondering what the process is like post having kids? how that complicated it if at all? especially since mine is still under 2yrs i also dont speak to my dad so idk if id need him to vouch for me or something for my half ausness to count lol😅😂.

I immigrated to aus. My case is diff than yours tho as i am not a US citizen and idk if i can be of any help but pm me if you like to know more.

I do know applying for Australian citizenship has gotten easier. I do not know too much about it as I was able to apply by descent but this depends what year you were born. The biggest thing is making sure you have a job/work and somewhere to go etc. making sure your financially sorted out as you can not receive government assistance payments unless your an Australian citizen

Hi! You only need to have Permanent Residency to get government support, not necessarily a Citizen. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/residence-descriptions?context=51411
