Periods for exclusively breastfed women

Hi Just wondering is it normal to get your period on the 5th month after giving birth and 5th month bleeding was alright and 6th month was just only one day and now it is 7th month and I haven’t gotten my period yet. My baby is exclusively breastfed 🧡

I’m worried I have my period already a month after and ebf ugh. I’d be lucky to not have one 7 months later

@Christy mine came a month but hasn’t come again since then. I “guess” you’re fine

@Patience mine did the same! And I pump more than I breast feed!

Currently 4 months in pp and still yet haven't had a period. Exclusively breastfeeding also

My first two EBF my period came back at 7-8wks pp, then continued regularly. But I know it’s common for it to come back and different stages. Have you started purées, cut back on feeds, Bub sleeping longer over night or anything like that? Because these can all impact bf/periods. Side note: I did fall pregnant 4m pp & 10m pp 🤷🏻‍♀️

I didn't get my first period after birth, with ebf, till after a year

@Sharnee yes she does have solids 3 times a day and sleeps through the night with 3 feeds🧡

I thought mine came but it didn’t actually come until exactly a year after I had my baby.

Heyy, 6m pp bf mum here, my period came back at 5m pp & has been irregular since. It’s completely normal ml, it’s because our hormones are starting to fluctuate back to normal as our milk supply solidifies. Sitting with my health visitor currently as I type this xx

Mine came back at 7 weeks but was still irregular until about 9 months. Obgyn said it’s nothing to worry about - it’s normal to be irregular for the first year or so.
