Cold turkey on breastfeeding
Going cold turkey on breastfeeding for my 1 year old as she is refusing solid food because of the option of breast she is refusing formula also and tugging at my shirt in public yanking out my boob and my breast are so engorged. My baby crying so bad I hope she will not get psychological damage any tips for weaning off the boob

I’m trying to give her just in the morning and late afternoon now nothing at night she cried so much today I feel so bad currently expressing my painful boobs
I personally cut the night feeds last because I think its mainly comfort at night. I'd just go slower if you can x
You need to do it gradually! Going cold turkey is not recommended neither for your baby or for you. Weaning off breast takes around 2 months. Eliminate feeds one by one spread over weeks. Distract and give lots of snacks when you cut out the feed.
