@Charleigh Thankyou! This is what I’ve said to him but he thinks she should say more by now. I said she’d got lots to learn whilst also learning standing / walking etc! I think it’s quite clever that she does it and points, shakes head etc she’s communicating well even without words! X
She sounds really clever, my LBs not there yet, he definitely understands and responds with sounds but there’s not really been anything with context or animal sounds
Yeah mine says stuff like this when she’s trying to communicate, and it’s not one of the words she knows. When she babbles, she usually is not trying to communicate imo, it’s just speaking into the air lol
We have alllll day of pointing and “eh”. He knows a few words and initial sounds for others but it’s a lot of “eh”. Is she getting frustrated? We’ve asked nursery what signs they teach and mine can now sign please, thank you, eat/food, more which then helps knowing when he’s hungry in the morning.
My baby acts like she is speaking plain English to me in straight gibberish. When I reprimand her, she talks back very seriously in baby gibberish as if I understand whatever it is she is objecting to 🤣
That’s my daughter too! She used to say “ah!” As hello. Now “ah” or rather “aaaah!!!!!” Is “I want that” and accompanied by pointing. It’s totally normal as far as I know. Mine doesn’t really say much else, she will intone “he-lo” if encouraged but won’t say it herself and appropriately (ie won’t spontaneously say hello to someone, she just makes the sounds when we do it first). She also says “mmmmmmm” for “moo” but rarely if ever mama. And daddy is “a-da” not “dada” lol.
It's totally normal, it's how they learn! They're the easiest sounds to make so it's just how they start out
This is normal! She's learning to talk x
