Yes, my first.
No need to call them at all!😊 you’ve probably already had them and didn’t even know. I couldn’t feel them with my first born but I could see them. And with my second I can feel them more and have them ALL the time, but that’s just bc I know what to look for now, and my body is more prepared (like muscle memory). They don’t hurt and aren’t anything to be worried about. Just like your ab muscles giving you hug from the inside😅, and it’s just your muscles practicing for labor, nothing like a real contraction.
Braxton hicks is a tightening in your stomach can feel pressure or a bit of pain or none at all but they are not consistent do not get stronger and usually will stop if you change positions you don’t need to call your dr you can just notify them on your next visit they are totally normal and your body’s way of preparing for labor but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s close
Thanks girls!!! :)
Just FYI, you may not have them. Doesn’t happen to everyone, I never experienced it in my first pregnancy. That said - no need to call if you’re certain! I might suggest speaking with your OB about it to better understand what you might expect!!
@Beth yes this is very true! With my first I only got them the day before I was in labor and had gone into the hospital cause I didn’t know what it was next day I had the real thing! Second and this pregnancy I’ve had them some of the second and now third trimester.
Is this first baby??
