When/how do you get adult time??

We recently started bedsharing with our 8.5 month old because we had been doing 5+ wakings per night for 4 months and it was getting to be too much. I am sleeping more now, but now my husband or I have to go to bed at her bedtime (7:30 or 8pm) since she can't be in bed by herself for safety reasons. How do you prioritize personal time and partner time when bedsharing? When our daughter was sleeping in the crib, we could have 1-2 hours of quality adult time every evening, but then I was tired from getting up with her so often. I'm starting to feel tied down 24/7 and I literally never get a break because she needs me for naps too. And I'm a stay at home mom right now, so I need that adult interaction. Anybody have any ideas?

If you know she will go down for that 1-2 hours on her own I would start her out in her crib and then bring her into your bed afterwards.

Same. Mines 20 months and I still haven’t figured it out yet

Mines 11m old and i haven't figured this out yet. For naps and bedtime we've been co sleeping. I go to bed by 8.30/9pm with her. Planning to transition her back to her next to me cot but I don't yet know how

I sneak off during daytime naps on the bed and go hangout in the living room! Sometimes I get 3 hours of uninterrupted time with my hubby and sometimes he only naps for 30 minutes. It’s a hit or miss with babies!

My wife and i sneak for sexy time into the bathroom🤣🤣. It's right next to the room and we can hear her if she wakes up. we can squeeze in a quickie in the kitchen if she is paying with her kinetic sand or playdoh but that's not often and that's only enough time for my wife to receive 🤣 She never not contact napped and now she's 2 and doesn't take a nap😭

Make the room safe so you can leave her alone in your bed.

Bed guards and baby monitor or, if the plan is long term co sleeping, invest in a floor bed (we bought a double floor bed frame and mattress for his bedroom). Now I know if he was to somehow climb out of bed before I saw on monitor (which is unlikely) he wouldn’t hurt himself as I keep a quilt on the floor where he could climb out to pad it out before I go to bed x
