Stool softeners after birth

I’m thinking about it so I can leave quicker lol but also given the amount things you are gunna have going on The last thing you wanna worry about is struggling to poop

I heard mainly it'll be painful so im scared for that but rather not use anything if i really dont have to... its my first so hard to tell 🙈

I never used them after my last baby. Never noticed any issues going to the bathroom. I had a c-section.

i totally used stool softeners after my first, and tbh, it was a lifesaver-def recommend! I actually checked the 'Heal Baby Care App' for this and here's what it says: "Many new mothers find stool softeners helpful after birth, especially if they experience constipation due to hormonal changes or pain from stitches. They can make bowel movements easier and less painful. Never used them, never needed to, everything was fine afterwards personally
