How do you transition to cows milk from exclusively breastfeeding?

Very confused about this could someone tell me how they’ve done it?

I’m in the middle of trying this and have been offering my daughter cows milk throughout the day for about 3 weeks and she will point blank refuse! She still has a feed first thing in the morning and before bed but I think we might need to go cold turkey for her to have cows milk, or it may be that she just never gets on with it and I have to substitute with cheese/yoghurts x

My little girl had already pretty much weaned off the breast, only fed morning and most nights before bed, never in the night or during the day, has had bottles since 7 months old (expressed milk) because that is when she started nursery, she still breastfed when she was with me and I pumped in work, so I just tried her with a bottle of cows milk and she was fine with it! She stopped feeding to sleep around 7 months old though which helped a bit I think x

Firstly there’s no need for a BF baby to switch to cows milk at all if it’s working for you and you don’t have a need. But if like us they are starting nursery in a few weeks then it’s necessary. I’m starting to panic that she won’t nap as I’ve always Bf before first nap & bed then in the night if she wakes. I aim to switch to first thing in the morning as I havn’t been able to get her to drink cows milk before sleeping. Probably because I’m the one offering it. I have tried offering milk in the afternoon and she has taken sips so this weekend I will be feeding her in the morning then breakfast and a snack & cows milk close to nap time but leaving my partner to put her to bed for her nap. I’ll be staying close by incase it goes tits up! Will report back
