I had my daughter at 33+3. She was on oxygen for less than 24 hours. She came home at 35+2 gestation. She just turned 2 years old and is perfectly healthy and thriving. Feel free to message me if you ever have any questions or want to talk! Hugs to you 🫂🤍

My son was born at 23 weeks 3 months nicu stay and daughter 26 3 months stay as wellweeks both are very happy and healthy no medical issues or behavior issues that they said would happen you got this everything will work 💪💪💪💪

@Alexis yes they definitely do come home sleep trained and is a very serious sleeper

My daughter was born at 28 weeks but 34 was the goal to keep her in. That is a good safe zone to be in. Imagine you will have a NICU stay but most come home by their due date if no other complications. My daughter came home on her due date new year's day so now we get an extra reason to celebrate. Prayers for your family and a safe birth ❤️

My oldest was born at 33 weeks. He was in the NICU for 17 days. Your baby’s length of stay and care will depend on their needs not the age. My son was off of oxygen within a few hours of being born. He stayed so long because of his bilirubin levels (jaundice)

I had my son at 34 weeks on the dot ! I stayed in the hospital the whole month leading up to my birth. I got induced and birthing honestly hit the fan in all the wrong ways but my son made it out. He was 4 pounds at birth, spent two weeks in the nicu. He came home right before Valentine's day 💘. Now he is 1 years old and running circles around me. The people that work in the nicu are a blessing. They will help you and they honestly love the babies that they care for. Wishing you the best for you and your family and a safe delivery. 💖

Mine was born at 34 weeks, 3lb 14oz. She needed oxygen for a few seconds at birth and that was it. We still ended up staying 33 days in the NICU because she wasn't big on eating (her tummy never did handle the fortification they use). Did you receive the steroid to boost baby's lung development? Is there an intrauterine growth restriction? Those things can have a lot to do with how long you stay

My baby girl was born 31+3 and our goal will be to go home at 35 - 36 weeks. She needed very little oxygen about a week on cannula otherwise just working on feeding and growing we are currently 20 days into our NICU stay. No better baby sitters than the NICU. Take time for yourself and healing. Set yourself a schedule. I go in the morning for rounds and stay for 1-2 care sessions and go home for the afternoon. My husband goes afterwork. Biggest thing will be getting into a groove with pumping. Your self care and healing matter as well. So be kind to yourself and the end will come.

My little boy was born 32+2 weeks We were in the NICU for 22 days 2 days on oxygen, 2 days on high flow, then 6 days on blue light He came home with his feeding tube but only for four days then it was out! Good luck, here if you want to talk. You are so much stronger than you know, as is your little one! You will both smash it x

@Emily aaawww! This amazing thank you for sharing. I did receive steroids and no growth restrictions!!!

Thank you all beautiful mamas for sharing!!! Contractions have started!! Wish me luck and blessings!!

Hey! Had my daughter at 33+3 unexpectedly. They were anticipating that she would need oxygen but she came out my emergency c section breathing all on her own. She never needed support with that. She was perfectly healthy but just very small (2lb). She had a month in the Nicu and then came home. She’s 1 next week and is hitting her milestones of her corrected age x

He’s here!!! He is 4pounds 3oz but looks so much more tiny!! He is on minimum CPAP with the nasal, and not scuba mask! He is feisty and doesn’t want to be bothered lol. Looking forward and praying to bring him home soon!!

@Starasia Congratulations!!! Let me know if you need anything ❤️

@Starasia He will be home in no time !! Congratulations to you and your family. 💖

@Unique I really hope so. So far we are trying to ween off of CPAP! He is on 25/18 and looks good, just wondering how long it is going to take!! So ready for him to be with me 24/8😞

@Emily that you, sounds like your little one didn’t need much oxygen. My baby is still on CPAP 😞

@Theresa thank you so much ☺️

My twins were 32 weeks and were on oxygen just a couple days, in NICU for a month. They were "feeders and growers" and just needed to learn to take all their feeds by bottle before coming home.

My sweet boy was born at 32 weeks, 2 pounds 10 ounces and is now 4 months old, 9 pounds 8 ounces and at his 4 month check up we were told he's just like any other 4 month old baby! As for the stay he was in the nicu for 1 month or 4 weeks, he was on the cpap machine for his first night and came off the next morning, his time spent there was just growing and learning to take all his feeds. The nurses in the nicu are very kind and teach you everything you'll need to know, along with information on how the next year could possibly look and resources for questions
