Ibuprofen and cold packs. For repeated clogs, take Happy ducts
hmm, have you tried warm compresses before nursing or pumping? that helped me a bit! here's what the 'Heal Baby Care App' says.... "Clogged milk ducts can be frustrating, especially when you're breastfeeding on demand. In addition to sunflower lecithin and ibuprofen, consider trying warm compresses before nursing or pumping, as this can help open up the ducts. Also, ensure you're fully emptying your breasts during feeds, as this can reduce the likelihood of clogs. Have you noticed any specific times or activities that seem to trigger the clogs?
wanted to add you should also change breastfeeding positions if you keep getting clogged ducts
I either take a bath or a hot shower, which supposedly isn’t recommended anymore but it works for me. I hand express in there until it pops and drain it. but I have a bit of an oversupply so i’m not worried about wasting milk. once I get it unclogged and let the fountain pour for a while, I get out and pump. if I let my baby nurse on that side before pumping he’d choke hahaha I actually had one this morning! pumped 7 oz then my portable pump started overflowing THEN he nursed and got full feed 😵💫
Yes and also use ice packs as tolerated with the ibuprofen
