Crawling- how do you get anything done?!?!

My LO is very close to crawling and can already pull herself along army style at quite a speed. My flat is falling apart around me. It’s like a downward spiral, the more chaotic it gets the more I can’t take my eye of her, the less I can get done. It’s driving me mad! How does anyone do this? (Also she loves food so she will scream for food if I put her in the high chair)

Omg I am having the same issue, I am considering a playpen. We have cats as well so their things are around lol

Same issue here!!! At the moment I can get nothing done during the day and I find myself up til 12/1am making sure everything is as spotless as I can get it ready for the next day! My boy HATES being contained so jumperoo everything is a no go and the same with food, high chair means food if I don’t offer it there’s trouble 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ I just try my best to get out of the house as much as I can so I’m not left with a bombsite but this has resulting in 500000 loads of washing needing to be put away 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Marina same!

My little one is walking so just wait till she’s walking and you’re trying to get things done. I’ve had to rearrange everything.

I put her in her jumperoo for a little bit but only works for like half an hour 😂 it's v stressful lol

I put mine in playpen. Works for 40mins - 1 hour 🙂

@Paige but how did you find the time to rearrange everything?! I’m trying to find the time to do things like take a bottle of expressed milk out of the fridge and but it in a storage bag in the freezer, or wash her bib from breakfast. I don’t understand how it’s possible.

My little one sleeps right through the night from 18:30 till 7:30 so I just did it then. Her dad will come and give her a bath and all in the evening some nights so when he’s doing that I get her bottle ready and then tend to sort the kitchen out then. When he doesn’t come round I just get it done. I don’t know how I just do. Sometimes I wonder how I’m going to get everything done but it just kinda happens. Shes so chilled I can just leave her on her mat and she’ll just play and I’ll have music on pottering around doing bits. If she wants me she’ll come get me I’m in a flat so it’s all just one level.

I’ve brought a travel cot for in the corner of the living room so that I can pop him in there if I need to get stuff done

I’m finding it hard to get stuff done too. Wow @Paige your LO is walking at 8 months ?

@Farhit she’s been walking for about 2/3 weeks now. Not confidently enough to be walking outside or anything. Still can’t even get shoes to fit her tiny feet

We've put the travel cot in the corner of the living room and filled it with all her soft toys and made it into a mini ball pit so I can stash her in there briefly while I make lunch/put washing out/go to the loo. Other than that I spend all my time following her around making sure she's not eating anything weird or pulling on cables 😫 😂

I’ve found it easier since she started crawling. I can give her a toy and do my jobs and she follows along. Only problem is now she’s starting to stand and try to walk so waiting for that fun to start 🙈

@Paige woww she’s done well! We’re not even at crawling stage lol just about mastered sitting lol

Your baby wil get there. Her brother is 2 days older than her and he’s only just started sitting up too. She just wanted to be a show off😂

Probably not helpful but my girl is a terror and couldn't be trusted in bouncers or play pens, she's 7 months now and getting good at crawling and standing holding on to stuff but I bring her around with me and get her involved so if I'm hanging washing I give her a peg to bang on the floor etc if I need her more controlled she's in the walker then I can hoover and mop but she is a velcro baby so is at my side 24/7

Playpen, jumparoo, travel cot to play in x

We bought our daughter a ball pit and we can pop her in that for a bit to get stuff done. Just making the most of that before she learns how to climb out of it 😂

Same here lol 🥲 We were gifted a small ball pit which is working great to keep him contained. I purchased a frog ‘backpack’ which protects his head & back is he were to lose balance. Keeps him safe and gives me some time to atleast sterilise the bottles 😁
