I waited the 6 weeks mostly because I was a little scared. But my midwife told me that it was safe whenever I felt ready. If you feel good then give it a go slowly and find your pace again. You know your body the best x

Didn't have penatrive sex till like 20 weeks PP it was an interesting experience. Felt like I have nettles in my vagina (this stopped after a couple more months) it took a while longer for my stomach to not hurt. We didn't do anything sexual till 10 weeks because I just didn't want to be touched. I was so sore still, it really put me off being touched at all. The altered sensation also put me off, but thankfully for me that's gone, and I have normal sensation.

We waited the 6 weeks to prevent infection like my midwife said

Waited 6 weeks but was too sore so waited another week! Probably just all depends if it hurts or not

Thanks girls, I am a wee bit worried about infections tho, tmi here but I'm eager to be intimate with my husband again

I waited 6 weeks

@Zoė what does your midwife suggest?

@Yasmine I haven't mentioned it to her yet, as it's just been something I've thinking if I haven't even mentioned it to my husband yet. He will probably say no and tell me to wait to get the all clear from my doctor coz he won't wanna hurt me

@Zoė it's probably worth mentioning to her and seeing what she thinks as she's overseeing your recovery but again you know your body better than anyone.

I’m 2 years past my c-section & my scar still feels like burning from the inside 😣 My sister was fine 8 weeks after hers though.x

I only waited 4 weeks 😬🫣

4 weeks, some positions felt better than others for a while but had no complaints just take it slow and easy at first and def watch for any signs of infection afterwards

I waited 3 weeks x

I was about 11 weeks. I felt so unsexy and body conscious as well as exhausted and just downright disgusting so it wasn’t on my mind at all u til that point 😂

@Jess did you get any infections? And how was it? Did it hurt your Invision?

@Zoė no I’ve been absolutely fine, just take it slow at first cos it was a bit sore but it didn’t hurt my stomach or anything :)

I waited until 6 weeks but had to stop because it was uncomfortable, ended up waiting another two weeks

The 6 week wait is due to the placental wound and risk of uterine infection, not because of the incision. If you do contract an infection it can lead to PID and secondary infertility later down the road, personally it was not worth the risk to me. I felt completely healed and normal by 4 weeks pp but we still waited.

2 weeks with both babies, first was a EMCS and second was elective xx

6 weeks. It’s not worth risking an infection. The wound inside your uterus is the size of a dinner plate trying to heal who would want a dirty man close to that is beyond me!

6 weeks x

I waited 6 weeks after mine but mainly because I was still bleeding for about 5 weeks afterwards. Also I just really wasn't in the mood for it 😂

5 weeks lol My husband and I couldn’t wait. I did not have any infection after .. they typically say to wait until your bleeding completely stops. Doctor cleared me at 6 weeks . I recommend taking it slow. It does feel strange after

I waited 3 weeks :)

I waited 4 days 🙃 ik it’s dumb don’t attack me

9 weeks, mainly as I was still bleeding x

I waited 7 weeks it hurt. My son is almost 4 months old and it still hurts. But I'm breastfeeding and they said that creates a hormone that can cause me to be dryer down there

Also waiting 6 weeks ensure the wound inside is healed from the placenta and the surgery u don't wanna get an infection

I waited the whole 6 weeks

12 weeks as i wax still bleeding. I pushed myself too hard at the beginning of my recovery, which definitely delayed my healing

3 weeks but I couldn’t be on top like normal due to it being so uncomfortable (still can’t as it’s still uncomfortable at 6 weeks). I also wonder if that’s why my scar opened a bit but I don’t know for sure that that was the reason, all I know is I was all healed and kept getting “perfect” from the midwives, then at 3/4 weeks it opened slightly 😕

@Julie I waited 6 weeks and it hurt, my baby is almost 4 months now aswell and I’m finding no pleasure in sex just pain 😔 (also breastfeeding)

Wait... do people still have sex with a small child ?! 😂 I can't find the time 😂😂

With my first was like 6weeks after c-section my second might be longer 😅

2w 6d but it was backdoor 4w 3d front door

6 weeks

6 weeks

2 weeks 🫣

I couldn't wait 6 weeks lol I was around 3/4 weeks but I felt well enough to. it was gentle and we were careful. Be careful and listen to your body when it tells you no or enough xx

I waited 4 weeks, but they do say 6 for a reason. I only bled for like 2 weeks mind. But mostly I was lucky, but don't be like me. Be smart lol. 6 weeks
