Pediatrician kissed Baby

Hey, I saw a pediatrician for the first time and he kissed my baby right on the face. I was shocked. I don’t even let my best friend kiss my baby on the face because of how dangerous it is for them to get sick when they are so tiny. What would you do? Am I being overly cautious? Also, he said something that kind of pissed me off. I told him I was tired and baby was fussy a lot at night and his first response was, “ I don’t think this is something you would do, but if you feel like you are going to be unsafe towards the baby, I’d like you to call us first.” like, why is that the first place he’s gonna go? Just the implication that I would hurt my baby pissed me off.
