Pregnant after a Etopic pregnancy

Those of you who’ve experienced an ectopic pregnancy and may have lost a tube, but later got pregnant again. Once you found out you were pregnant, what were the first steps you took? How soon did you contact your doctor, and what kind of testing or scans did they do early on to make sure everything was progressing safely? I’d love to hear your experiences what to expect, what helped ease your mind, or any advice you’d give to someone going through it.

I’m UK based so may be different. I contacted my early pregnancy until and was scanned at 6 weeks to make sure everything was in the right place. It was thankfully so I then just went into the ‘normal’ system

I didn’t have to have surgery to remove a tube but I did have to have methotrexate. Nearly 18 months later I have the most amazing healthy 9 and a half week old daughter 🩷💓 it’s hard at the time I know but if you need to talk I’d be happy to 🩷

And same as Naomi I had early scans and then was placed on the ‘normal’ system for the remainder of the time x

I didn't have a tube removed but I spoke with my doctor right after I found out and explained my medical history. They watched me closely and I felt cared for. I learned not to over do myself. I stressed myself a lot. But was thankful the doctor provided care to help ease my mind. I now have a 21 month year old. 🩷

@Naomi that’s amazing. Happy everything was in the right place. ❤️

@Courtney Aww thank you. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl. So happy you didn’t have to go through getting your tubes removed

@Kimberly ❤️❤️🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 thank you, I’m trying not to stress myself out. But sometime when you when I feel discomfort, I get a little nervous, compare it to the previous pain that I had when my tube ruptured. But I just have to think on the positive side.

@Christela I totally understand. I'm currently pregnant with my 4th pregnancy but 2nd baby and I still get nervous with every pain I feel. Your feelings are valid. I'm sure if your religious or not but I find praying and reading scripture has been helping with my anxiety. It calms me so I can give up all my worry. I'm praying for you girly. May this be a healthy and amazing pregnancy🩷 Blessings always. 💗

I had my left tube removed from my ectopic pregnancy 8 years ago. Thank God I have a 3month healthy baby boy and currently expecting! no complications from the surgery! and all my babies will be right ovary babies!
