Tummy time/ crawling/walking

My baby is 7months and she just doesnt seem like she is bothering to attempt to crawl or walk and absolutely hates tummy time. She can sit unaided but she also has a habit of yeeting herself backwards for fun and then cries when she can't put herself back up. Sometimes just letting her sit alone to play is stressful. she can lean forward whilst sitting to grab a toy and get back to her sitting position but that's literally about it. She doesn't like to do ANYTHING! She knows how to roll but doesn't like to. She loves it when I stand her up but obviously she has no balance. I just don't know what to do with her...

She will get the hang of it, don't worry! My girl always fell sitting but seems to have cracked it now all of a sudden which has made it easier for her to play. 7 months is also still so young to be crawling, mine also isn't, I think average is 6-10 months and some don't do it at all, you may have a little bum shuffler! It can be really frustrating but just try to enjoy not having to chase her round just yet haha x

In the same boat but im not stressing 😅 The main thing that settles me is that, she’ll learn milestones eventually and that when shes an adult, the fact she walked/crawled or whatever later compared to her peers makes absolutely zero difference on her life ❤️ I do think though, if we had wooden floors, she’d probably be a bum shuffler by now 🤣

My baby was exactly like this until 7 months on the dot when she suddenly decided to start rolling. It felt like a sudden switch, and now she won’t stop moving around. Maybe your girl will do that one day too. Sometimes I find it hard to remember how difficult this is for them too, they’re developing SO fast at this stage (before 1) and there is no point rushing it. She will not be like this forever. We should allow them to be tiny for now ♥️ you’re doing so well. Just keep trying to encourage her and tempt her with something fun or interesting.

My baby is 8 months and he's absolutely not trying to crawl haha my first didn't crawl till 11 month! Appreciate the time while they are not crawling I am 🤣😂

I am having similar situation with my lo just throwing himself backwards for no reason. I am scared to have him on the floor. He going on all fours then launches himself forwards when he’s on the bed and at times he’d just randomly throw his face down on the bed and the once or twice times on the floor. He loves standing up and jumping. So what I’ve been teaching him is to hold on to my arms and to pull himself up. Don’t worry though it’ll all happen in her time every baby is different crawling can start the even at 9months and walking is between 11months. She might not even crawl and just go straight to walking but as I said every baby is different.
