I can't do this. I'm in so much pain

I had to take naproxen today just to function. I'd love to hear all your chronic pain management self care things please. Low cost would be great. I'm m so scared how I'm gonna raise my toddler for the next twenty yrs

You aren’t alone sweet, some days I have to take dihydrocodiene, paracetamol and ibuprofen during the day to even function. Some days you have too, no shame in it. I also have carers twice a week to help me. Self care, I go to bed when my toddler does and also lie down when she naps, we bed share 😅 hot water bottles, I’ve not found much self care that helps my pain, other than hot showers and heat and pain relief. On bad days, I use batch cook freezer meals for convenience, or occasionally takeaway. Lean into gentle stuff, I use a lot of stickers and colouring which thankfully my daughter likes when I can’t be physical and we read lots, and I do use low stim tv/movies when I’m really bad, especially in the afternoons. Big hugs, I know how you feel. Each day as it comes, parenthood wont always been this full on, toddlers are a lot! All the best x

I take curcumin tablets which combats inflammation, I also have CBD gummies which are unfortunately quite expensive . A month ago My doctor put me onto fluoxotine which really really helped my depressive mood but unfortunately made me loose my appetite completely and I lost 6kg!

Have you tried magnesium or Epsom bath salts? (Just make sure it's okay to use alongside any meds you might be on) Changes to your diet *can* also make a difference. AIP protocol made a huge difference to my health. It's essentially an elimination diet where one removes inflammatory foods for a minimum of 6 weeks (how long depends on every individual). The focus is on nutrient dense wholefoods. Once you're happy with your health, you slooowly reintroduce food to see how your body reacts to it. Everyone is different though. It's also a massive change and a fair amount of work.

Stress management, rest and exercise to be fit. Meditation occasionally... Magnesium and used herbs now to get back on track. Shakti mat is cheap and can help too.

Get enough sleep. Codeine, naproxen & paracetamol. TV days when pain is bad. Get out & play with 3 year old (exercise) as often as possible when I can. Stay as active as possible, the more you do the more you're able to do on a regular basis.
