Work and miscarriage

I got a sick note for 2 weeks then got an extra week and now it's half term so will be 5 weeks all together. I deff didn't feel ready and still don't to go back 😩 Hope you're ok x

So sorry. If you can, take the time off. It is hard enough to go through without having to pretend everything is well for the sake of everyone else. I had 2 or 3 weeks off every time I had a miscarriage (i had 3 in total). It gives time to process and you can breakdown without having to justify yourself

No I took 3 weeks off. 7 days self cert and 14 days sick leave. I couldn’t have worked through it x

I was off for 2.5 weeks. First I self certified and then I got a sick note for the remainder of the time x

I’ve had three losses and I took a week off with the first one but no time off for the next two because I needed the money and I didn’t want to let my employer know anything

I think i may end up taking some when the worst of it hits but I had a missed miscarrage so my body is just now realizing the baby's gone.... i feel fine except yesterday and today I've started slight cramps... and a huge wave of hormones today... if my body dosent do it by itself I'll use the pills next weekend if I can find some one to help with my daughter while I'm dealing with that.

I was off sick for 2 weeks. First week I was bleeding and in pain. The second I was sad and needed time to myself.

My advice is try wait for it to pass natural however if that doesn’t happen and you need the pills then maybe try get someone to care for your favourer. I found the pills really painful. Not sure if it was because I was 11 weeks but yeah I needed my son cared for those few days x

Are you located in the UK? I told my manager about my missed MC and she has given me bereavement leave and to take as long as I need paid I was so shocked but really grateful. I took tues to fri off and thinking of taking the full next week off too and see how I feel the following week. I am very very irritable and emotional I’m crying out of nowhere and feeling such a mix of emotions
