Absolutely terrified and looking forward positive stories to focus on

Back in 2013 I had surgery which means my cervix was slightly shorter and have been part of the preterm clinic since finding out I am pregnant. Scanned at 22 weeks and was 28mm and they were happy with this, re scanned yesterday and it has gone to 24.1mm with slight v shape funnelling. They have advised bed rest and to continue with my progesterone and then are rescanning me next Wednesday and will then get a plan from there depending on the outcome of the scan. They advised I am past the point of a stitch at the moment and would want to wait and see for the next 4 weeks with weekly scans and then consider one at 28 weeks as baby girls gestation will be safer if there are any complications with the procedure. I am so scared and just hoping to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience with a positive outcome?

At 22 weeks I was measuring 16 - 18mm. Opted against a stitch as I was told my cervix looked strong. I wasn’t seen again after that point and took progesterone until baby came at 36 weeks (not too early!) he is almost 2 now! Pregnant again now without a stitch and been given omega 3 on top of progesterone as it apparently can also help avoid pre-term labour. Currently 32 weeks 🙂

Thanks so much for a positive story and outcome! Did you have any funnelling at all? And where you put on bed/sofa rest and pelvic rest? Congratulations on your current pregnancy too, do you have a short one in this one too? Xx
