Weaning help!

I have a 6 month. We started weaning 2 weeks ago. Mostly purée but some finger food of fruit like a strawberry or banana. I have been giving this once a day. Some days she has nothing other days she's eaten everything. I have noticed her poo is much more thicker like a paste as before she's was a EBF baby so it was very loose in the most part. She is going and now twice a day usually just once a day prior but at time in particular the night she wakes up and appears in tummy pain with the noises she makes and can hear her belly. Is this normal? Am I maybe giving her too much?! Have I just start early and need to take a break?!! Any tips or advice would be apprieciated

At this age they don’t need to be eating everything the food is purely for taste the milk is still the main source of nutrition. So it could be constipation if she has had a lot of food and not used to it

The Ella’s kitchen prune pouches are great to help loosen their stools. I mix some in with his mashed banana in the morning and I’ve found it really helped him xx

Totally normal, it just takes a while for their bodies to get used to it. Offer water after a meal and I second prune pouches, they always get stuff moving. Apple or pear puree help too.
