How far has your toddler’s speech development progressed?

We’ve just started speaking small sentences. He has about 100- 150 words I’d guess.

My 2 year old says around 70 words and sentences are more please or byebye dada she doesn’t use many sentences

My little one has quite a vast vocabulary and is putting 4-5 words in a sentence. For example when on a walk he will go 'oh my goodness, so many trees' and then go on to count them etc. He can do his abcs correctly, count to 20, sing happy Birthday, twinkle Twinkle and more. I think at this age there is no right or wrong and it'll all come in their own time. 🥰 xx

My 2 y/o is the same as Symone’s! But we’ve not met another 2 y/o as chatty as him yet so I don’t think that level of vocab is common at this stage. They all do catch up 😊

Mine shocked me the other day and said ‘old McDonald had a farm ee I ee I oh’ but I agree it’s all at their own pace xx

Mine has a huge array of words. Probably 100-150, however only 25% of them are clear. He sometimes does 2/3 words ‘daddy gone work’ ‘more milk’ etc. it’s not very conversational! I’m not worried. Attempts to speak and progress are literally perfect and the range of different will be huge!! Sounds like she is doing fantastic

My son will be 2 at the end of April and can string about 5 words together in a sentence. We can have a bit of a conversation and he can definitely understand and respond to most things I say. His words aren't 100% clear and I am sometimes his 'translator' for people we don't know x

My 2 year old doesn’t speak in sentences yet just one words like, dog, out, juice, bye bye, people’s names, not a huge amount of words but I’m not concerned as his brother didn’t talk till he was 3 and now I can’t shut him up 🤣

My daughter can sing whole songs and say a few word phrases that usually go together but she will only say things like thank you mummy or blue car etc. She does still speak in her own little language 🤣 she’s can say most words though just hasn’t quite got to putting them together yet x

My daughter can sing quite a few songs count and do abcs she says sentences like no mammy look after Evelyn when it’s a work day etc I think she can understand most of what we say

My son is turning 2 years tomorrow he can hardly say anything but only mama and dada I am getting a bit worried is it normal?? Please help as I have other 2 boys who were very quick in learning but they went to nursery when they were both 6 months he just only started nursery about 4 months ago. Please help

My daughter didn’t say a lot till she was around 22 months, she was referred to talking tots maybe ask for a referral? she was two last week and says around 70 words I was the same as you but your son will talk

@Cat she says a lot so I don’t need to make a referral thanks. I’m not concerned

My little girl doesn’t say sentences or if she does it’ll only be 2/3 words ‘bye bye home’ when we go out etc. she has come out with more words recently but can understand very well. Her older sister is 3.5 and at this age was speaking a lot and was very clear and full sentences. I find it hard not to compare but I also think her sister does a lot of her talking for her. But she is trying to copy words and say new things and sing songs x
