Stand up immediately, and rub the area of cramp with rubbing alcohol. I also keep salt packets next to my bed.
Second magnesium!
Yuppp. Magnesium! I take magsoothe by jigsaw and it's helped a lot!
I use No Muscle Cramps drops from Trace Minerals on Amazon and take magnesium at night. It really helps keep the worst of it away.
I get some gnarly charley horses in the middle of the night. Hate them!
Pickle juice for Charlie horses. Works instantly & scientifically proven.
I had them nightly with my first and only one this pregnancy. As soon as I got it I started increasing my water in take. Like, 64-82oz a day. You can spend money on magnesium supplements and they do help with more than just charley horses but enough water should keep them at bay. Most people are not drinking enough in a day when they aren’t pregnant and you need it even more when you are pregnant. Good luck!
@Dara interesting! Gonna give this a try
Haha I never tried this but I’m going to. I truly just don’t move my feet when I wake up because I’m so scared of them
A warm shower, staying hydrated helped me and stretching before bed.
Yesss, I have in all of my pregnancies. Make sure you are hydrated. For me it was a magnesium issue. I added Spinach to my diet and I take a magnesium supplement. My dr said no more then 400 mg. But check with your doctor before taking anything. Also standing up as soon as you feel the cramp helps it stop instantly or rubbing your leg.
