Went to the Early Pregnancy Clinic yesterday

I went through this a couple of weeks ago. I thought i was 7 weeks turned out I ovulated later so I was around 5/6 weeks. Only saw a yolk sac. They rebooked me for 11 days but after 6 I had a private scan. They saw a fetal pole and strong heart beat:) I was 6 weeks 4 days. I then went for the follow up at the hospital 6 days later and baby was measuring 8 weeks so I was right on my weeks that I thought originally x

@Chelsea Lewis this is the exact same as me. I thought I was 7 weeks and they told me I was around 5/6 but it’s very reassuring that you were in a similar situation and you had a positive outcome! I want to get a private scan but with me not knowing for sure what I am, I’m just going to hold off until the 23rd. Also, big congratulations my lovely x

This happened with me! I was seen by the EPU due to pain in my side and front (I had a C-section 7 months ago so they wanted to rule out a CSEP) but they couldn’t see anything I was measuring a week behind at approx 5+5, I had a private scan last weekend which was a Mother’s Day present I was unable to postpone but I was able to see the heartbeat! She also dated me later than I should have been but I wasn’t worried as it wasn’t internal so she couldn’t see as much! Anyway fast forward to Thursday just gone I had my NHS follow up scan and she confirmed I was 7+2 and progressing nicely! So it’s been a bloody rollercoaster of emotions already! Got everything crossed for you! Xx

I went into EPU at 5 weeks 2 days, they could see the yolk sac but no baby, went back 2 weeks later and a very clear baby in the sac with a heartbeat. Before going in I didn't have any real concern (went due to some minor spotting) but it made me feel unnecessarily worried when they have the leaflets about unknown viability and felt it was all quite negative. I appreciate they have to prepare for the worst but everything was absolutely fine for me and baby was just too small to see 😊 xx

@Nicki although they give me the leaflets, I don’t feel overly worried. The sonographer wanted to say she could see a fetal pole but her superior told her they can’t be accurate. But it’s very reassuring to know that all was ok with you and baby! Big congratulations lovely! I’m not entirely sure how many days I am, just know I am between 5/6. My last pregnancy was an ivf pregnancy so everything was manipulated and calculated by the doctor so what dates they said went. X

This also happened to me two weeks ago, could see yolk and gestational sac and dated me around 5 weeks which was earlier than I expected. I’m back today for another scan so fingers crossed! Like you, I’m being positive and have tried not to be overly worried but also looking forward (anxiously) to know for sure in a few hours time. Sending love and positivity your way! 🥰

Yes this happened to me, went to the scan after a stressful 1.5-2 weeks and there was a heartbeat! Doctor said it was like a miracle 🥹
