Fussy baby

Anyone else have a really fussy baby? She'll be 6 weeks old on Sunday. I feel like she's always crying except when she's eating or sleeping. This is the only way she likes to be held between feeds. She hates tummy time even on my chest. Hates being burped. I know her tummy is upset 😣 she is breastfed.

Mine is almost 2 weeks and she is crying bloody murder all day

All three of my babies were the same, mine were all gassy.. making sure I extra burp baby is helping a lot and tummy rubs throughout the day

Trying massaging her tummy and her sides. Also give her to her dad when he’s available. I be feeling like my son is tired of being under me all day sometimes. Which might not be true because he’s only 3 weeks 🤣 but his dad is able to help him fart and poop when I can’t. There are certain ways he’s able to hold him that I can’t.

Have you tried probiotic drops and/or gripe water? I’ve heard they work wonders for babies with upset tummies!

Simethicone drops might work-you can buy over the counter at pharmacy. Also sometimes I do a little body wiggle with mine-make sure you have good hold on her head and butt and we got the Dr browns heating pad to help get things moving-straps right around her tummy. Also not sure if you’re doing this (I was so definitely no judgement) but make sure you’re not shaking up her bottle. I was bc my baby is preemie and I have to fortify her milk with formula but now I just stir the formula into the milk instead of shaking it. Less bubbles, less gas. We use the anti-colic Dr browns bottles and the transitional nipples. Also, good idea to burp every ounce of milk and leg exercises throughout the day will help too. Everything helps my lil one just a little bit and combined it all helps a lot. I also use the Spotify playlist of vacuum cleaners as a last resort just to calm her-it is like magic and settles her so well.

All my kids have had colic including my 5 week old. We have found that mylicon drops, gripe water and a naturopathic formula from a compound pharmacy in st Martinsville, LA works, (Dupois Anti Colic) they have a website and will ship if interested. We do bicycle movements when upset, which initially makes them more mad but once the gas starts moving they settle. We also use heat and baths to help soothe and lots of rocking and patting. This helps take their mind off the tummy pain. Also try a white noise machine, really helped along with a swing!

Crying the to peak around 6 weeks. But also I have a fussy baby too. It’s gas and reflux from swallowing air for mine.

I read that 6-12 weeks is the crying spike for infants. They will be very fussy.. I can’t remember why but I’m prepared for it. He’s 6 weeks Monday.

Thank you all for your responses! I have been using gas drops and gripe water and it seems to help. I will try doing more tummy massages, maybe a quick one every diaper change. She still occasionally struggles with dyschezia but her poops look normal. I am starting to think that the evening fussyness is actually cluster feeding; shes been difficult to get to sleep at night even when her daytime naps are good. She has been cluster feeding then sleeping longer at night.

Burning in the middle of breastfeeding helps mine
