My Dr said 1oz apple juice a day my baby was constipated I had to switch her to Enfamil reguline formula and it helped I also bought childerns suppositories and if she hasn't gone and is really uncomfortable I cut 1 in half and put the half in her rectum
I would definitely check with your doctor before giving a baby juice :/
It’s normal… babies can go up to 5 days
There was a time my son didn’t poop from Friday morning till Monday BUT what helped was doing massages on his tummy the night before. If you want to give him juice (my nephew had prune juice at his age) definitely call a free nurse line instead of paying for a doctors visit. Unless you feel more comfortable asking his ped!
If breastfeeding try eating more fruits/veggies for a day or two and that should help, if baby is on formula but at the stage of solids/beginning try a fruit like banana or something. My LO is 4.5 months, exclusively breastfeeding, didn’t poop for 2.5 days and I was ready to go to the doctor 🥴 instead just loaded up on fruits/veggies and since we’re introducing solids to help with her reflux we gave her a little banana and she pooped within 30min - keep in mind banana fibers may come out in their poop so don’t be alarmed if you see what looks like hair in the poop 😓 not a pretty sight but thankful that it helps baby poop
My baby didn't poop for 7 days. The doctor recommended 1 oz of prune, apple, or pear juice once per day.
Is baby breast or formula? My breastfeed little one will commonly go a week between poops, my twins would go 11-12 said. Our Dr said not to get concerned unless it's been over 2 weeks
Most babies don’t get constipated when only oh milk because it’s just a liquid diet, it can be okay for them to go quite a few days without poopihg even if they usually go more often. Obvi unless your baby seems in distress or is on solids/formula then could be a different story ☺️🤍
