Growth scan

Hi ! Just being a tad nosey tbh but I had a growth scan yesterday ( I’m 37 +2) and he was estimated to weigh around 6lb 12 … is this a pretty normal number ? If you had a scan how did the estimate compare to birth weight ? Thanks ! X

I had 3 growth scans during my pregnancy because I was measuring small I was told baby was going to be really small then told she was going to be massive (11lb). She was 7lb 15 😅

I had growth scans every 2 weeks during pregnancy as he was estimated to be massive, got induced 2 weeks early since he was ‘so big’. Estimated almost 8lbs at 34 weeks. Ended up being 7lbs10 at birth 😵‍💫

I got a growth scan at 36+5 and they estimated a birth weight of 7lbs (never said what the current weight was though). She was 8lb 6oz when she was born at 39+6

I had a lot of scans due to my baby apparently measuring tiny. They made me really stressed on the run up to birth, I wish I hadn't paid any attention. She was almost 7lbs 🙃 I've never met anyone who got an accurate measurement

Think that sounds fine. I had one at 37 wks and he was 7lbs 11oz. He was born at 38+6 weighing 8lbs 10oz.

I had a scan at 36+5 estimated 7.8 and was born at 38+6 weighing 8.1

I think there’s a 20% margin of error?

I had a couple of growth scans - can’t remember the weeks but at the earlier one (late 20s weeks wise), they predicted he’d be 9lb something at birth. He was born at 40+3, 9lb 13oz so pretty much spot on from my experience 😂

my last growth scan was at 40 weeks and they said he was weighing 7lb 9oz but was born a week later weighing 9lb 2oz so they aren’t very accurate x

34 weeks he’s 5lb 1 xxx
