I would say read and make sure you know your rights regarding maternity for that company and, by law until week 20 you don't have to tell your employer. Perhaps you can say you have doctor appointments but don't tell them why. I also just started a new job and did not know I was pregnant but what I said above was an advice from a pregnant colleague at work who is 7 months now.

If it's a permanent job, they can't do anything if you have signed contracts. There's nothing to worry about. After contracts are signed, tell them you're pregnant. By law, they can't stop you from going to your appointments. Pregnant women have more rights than any other

I have not long started a new job and I’m going to wait till 15weeks before which you have to tell them by law so believe it’s July time I will tell them then. As I’m on probation period at moment and waiting to pass that to then know my job is safe and they can’t find any old excuse to get rid of me. As starting a new job when pregnant before finding out does anyone know about entitlement to SMP or SMA?

@Ellie here what gov says: To be eligible for Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), employees must meet specific criteria, including working continuously for their employer for at least 26 weeks, earning at least £125 a week, and providing proof of pregnancy. Those not eligible for SMP may be able to claim Maternity Allowance (MA

It’s your decision to make but you are legally covered as it’s unlawful for them to discriminate against you for being pregnant. You are also entitled to reasonable paid time off for antenatal appointments. Once they are aware they should also do any necessary risk assessments to ensure you are safe at work.
