Struggling to latch now baby is heavier

My little one is 4 weeks old and EBF. I didn’t have any issues with her latching before but it is getting difficult as she weighs more causing my arms to ache and I feel I can’t hold her long enough to get a good latch. I’ve tried using a BF pillow but can’t get it in the right place for it to do anything. I normally hold her cross cradle but have also tried the rugby hold. Any advice? My noodle arms can’t take it 🥲

What about side laying? That always works! Also once she has better neck control, you can try the koala hold, kinda where she’s sitting on your lap and you feed her the boob.

Side laying as Angelina suggests or lay back so gravity holds her on you!!

I don’t know how you used the nursing pillow but what I did was I sat criss cross and put the pillow on my legs so my arms didn’t have to hold my son and he got straight up to my boob. It also depends on your breasts though- mine are pretty small, so that worked for me, but it yours are bigger like @Angelina Tiburcio said side laying might work better

@Lizzy this is exactly what I did too! No lifting involved once you get settled in

We used the koala hold a lot at this age, I have weak arms and it was a lifesaver! Even before neck control I used my arm to support his neck and hold it up and that worked well - much easier than using the arm to support his whole weight

Try a bf pillow! I’ve seen so many videos and it seems so helpful bc baby is comfortable and you have free arms, I’m considering that bc I don’t have a big physique and my arms have always been thin! Even now I’m in my third trimester and I haven’t gained any weight on my top half of body. So yeah deffo try it what the other ladies have said too 🫶

Have tried using the nursing pillow while your legs are crossed?
