Thank you, they definitely don't call it the newborn trenches for nothing 😅 Hope your ok x
If you feel like you are drowning baby, try feeding baby while you are laying on your back. Gravity will help you.
My baby girl is very hungry all the time currently, lots of cluster feeding and she has brought bits of milk back up through her nose. She started life with a feeding tube which was in her nose for a couple weeks and i originally thought it was linked to that but not sure. I was going to speak to health visitor about it. They have said before as long as spit up/sick js white then nothing to worry about but if you're worried I'd get it checked to give you piece of mind. Definitely with you on the highs and lows..
It’s definitely a rollercoaster of emotions so make sure to have visitors on your own terms! I had a heavy flow for a few days and my baby really struggled to feed. My breastfeeding specialist recommended leaning back when feeding or lying down on your back/side when feeding as gravity will help slow the flow down. You can also try pumping or hand expressing a little before you start feeding as this should also slow the flow down a bit.
You’re doing excellent mama!
