Breast to cup

I’m currently exclusively breastfeeding my 8 month old and looking to introduce a cup to get her used to not being on the boob in preparation for nursery in 4 months time. Trying to skip the bottle stage and use a sippy cup. Any tips?

My baby likes the doidy cup but honestly it’s quite messy so I don’t think he takes enough in. The tum tum straw cup has been the lifesaver for us.

I am currently EBF my 4th baby (8months tomorrow) I’ve never used a bottle for any of my babies they have all started nursery at around 12/13 months. I’ve done the same with them all, introduced water in the tommee tippee free flow sippy cup along side weaning and from 12 months I also used that cup for cows milk and they have all got on fine with that, I think if weaning goes ok then their need for BF / or bottles if you were using them will gradually reduce, for me by 12 months and beyond it is just early morning and before bed BF, during the day it is solids / water / cows milk. I’ll do the same this time as it works so well with going back to work and my babies have all done well with that and means I don’t have to stop BF until baby is ready as the night one is always the last.

I have tried the tum tum cup and that has worked for us
