Are you using the solid starts app? It shows you how to serve each food! But sometimes they start to stuff food once they get used to food so you may have do switch things up depending on your child
@Meg we haven't changed anything similar time everyday and I'm using the solid start app to guide me on what size food ect
Food could be too dry or she hates the taste. It really depends on what you're serving and if the child is drinking enough too. Its still a game of trying to introduce them to the food and textures at this age up until they are one year old.
@Laurel yeah we are using the app and what do you mean by switching things up please
@PsyQ I'm still only giving her soft fruits and vegetables Atm and yeah I no food before 1 is just for fun
So my child went through a phase of taking to big of bites/ food stuffing and so we would cut things small and only give a small amount at a time and then slowly went back to the app!
Try different things and check her reaction. She is discovering what she likes and what she doesn't. You can make a dip from vegetables if you don't want to switch fully to purees too.
Is it definitely choking? Or just extreme gagging? I only ask I embarrassingly flapped when my baby horribly gagged for the first time thinking she was choking. Choking would be going blue unable to breathe apparently! It could be that the food is too big or too small?
Infants from 6 months need iron, zinc and Vitamin C in their diet as they are no longer meeting these needs solely through breast milk or formula 😊
@Charleigh hi yeah definitely choking I'm having to clear the blockage and I'm going by the app tbh my first baby was puree so couldn't really choke so BLW is new to me
It the pieces you cut up to big for your child my daughter is almost 3 and she needs her pieces smaller than normal for her age, she tends to choke a lot
@Angela no its always been same size but different food she was fine last night and this morning I'm not sure what's been going on
Could be your serving sizes/consistency
