Blood bogeys

Hello, my nearly 1 month old is sounding like she’s really struggling to breathe nasally on occasion but mainly at night. She’ll sneeze or wake up with blood bogeys is this normal or should I be concerned or does anybody recommend anything to help please?

Following , my just over 3 week old has the same but no blood just dry bogey that sounds like he conjested and he sneezes a lot x

Following, we’re having the same with our 3 week old 🙁 we’ve been giving saline drops which seems to help abit, but she’s still waking up with a bloody / crusty nose

We had the same at about 3 weeks old. Midwife told me that it's due to their noses being really vascular, so the slightest irritation can cause it to bleed. It's generally because a rather big bogey can irritate their nose and you'll get little spots of blood in them. Saline drops were recommended over snot suckers (🤢) because there's nothing physically knocking/ going up their nose. But, if in doubt, talk to your GP xx

We use Sterimar baby spray as recommended by hospital. It really helps them and often brings things down their noses!

Thank you everyone x
