Anyone else had varying dates on scans?

I had a private scan at around 7 weeks and was measuring a day behind. Had an NHS scan at around 9 weeks and was measuring 3 days behind. The sonographer wasn’t concerned and said to just wait for the dating scan to confirm but now I’m overthinking it and worried babies growth has slowed down? Has anyone else had this discrepancy?

I had a private scan at 7 weeks 4 days and was measuring ahead but I have been told by both the private sonographer and my midwife that this will most likely change by my 12 week scan and that that will be the one to give me an accurate date However, I also know people whose due date changed a couple of times during their pregnancy, and that was normal

@Stephi I know it’s normal to be given a different due date to the one calculated from your last period, that happens for most people. It’s just the fact that the second scan was further behind that worries me

I think that in the first trimester baby growth can fluctuate, so it’s possible that they measure behind by a few days and then they catch up by the next scan. I wouldn’t worry since the fluctuation is so small with only a couple of days behind from the last scan. Also remember that the baby is so small that it’s hard to measure accurately and measuring a couple millimetres off can mean a difference of X days in terms of development

@Claudia thank you 🫶 that’s what the sonographer said and also it could be as simple as the private clinic and nhs using different machines so getting slightly different measurements. I’m just an overthinker and will find anything to worry about!
