dating scan
I went to what I thought was my dating scan today, thinking I was 12 weeks, but I found out I’m actually 9–10 weeks. I have PCOS so my LMP isn’t really reliable 🫤 They didn’t give me a due date yet. Does that mean I’ll need another dating scan, or the next appointment is going to be the 20-week scan? I really wanted an October baby.

I would contact your midwife and ask, you should get another scan at 12/13 weeks for your dating scan, there is always a chance of having an October baby even if you end up due in November as that’s what I’m hoping for too I’m due 12th November atm but my dating scan is 1st may but I’ll be happy for a healthy baby no matter when they decide to come ❤️
I had the same so I was booked in for my rescan at actual 12 weeks at the reception after the scan. I would call and ask, as they might send you a letter with your next dating scan appointment

I would imagine they’d have you back in for another at what they deem to be around 12/13 weeks for you. You need to have a due date to work everything else off but it’s more accurate at that time with measurements and what have you. If you’re unsure you could always ask your midwife? Im sure she’ll be able to advise you with that. And there’s still chance that you could have an October baby. I wanted an April baby with my first, my dating scan placed him as a May baby and he came 3 weeks early in April so there’s always still a chance!♥️
