Postpartum gallstones

Hello girls 🥰 A few weeks postpartum, I started getting awful pain. After a scan, it was discovered I had lots of sand size gallstones. Who knew something so small, could cause so much agony. I wanted to try avoid the surgery but the attacks are horrendously painful!! A few questions to anyone that’s had surgery - 1 - I’ve heard some gallbladder removal can cause further issues, have you experienced this and do you regret the surgery? 2 - I EBF my baby, how did this work for you? 3 - How old was your baby when you had the surgery?

I had mine when my baby is 7months old it attacked when he's 3months old. You don't want to wait for It to get inflamed and stay longer in the hospital than usual and don't wait until your body loses all your weight and energy to bF your baby And I still able to bF my baby well I'm honestly an exclusively pumping mom and still able to feed him but surgery loses my big supply because of my body working to heal itself.

Following, as I’m 90% certain I’ve got gallstones and waiting a scan this week. Attacks are horrible but would also like to avoid surgery x
