First period postpartum
Should I be concerned I’m bleeding too heavily
Having to change pad every hour
Bled through a pad in half hour
Bled through 3 pads in 2 hours and have lots of small clots
6 weeks postpartum did have an episiotomy and stitches and passed lots of large clots in hospital making me stay in overnight and have a scan
Little scared but second baby so know they are meant to be heavier after birth

I was heavy on my first period I was I was the same as you changing it ever 30mins to 1hr I had to use maternity pads
Aslong as the clots aren’t bigger than a 10p coin you should be fine. My second baby, my first period was horrific, to the point I was leaking even through the pads and onto my clothes. I don’t remember it being as bad with my first child x
That happened to me too first period was really heavy
Started mine yesterday it’s so bad I’m leaking through the pads and through my clothes I’ve changed and washed myself so many times since yesterday, just had to call hubby to bring me the maternity disposable nappies 😩😭

I will say I didnt have an episiotomy or stitiches with my second but my first period after having him was really rough! I bled alot and my cramps were super bad nothing would help. Now that he is 1.5 they are way better! They got better each month after that first one!
