Drying rack and detergent

Hi all, What racks or things are you all using to air dry your cloth diapers? We are using pocket diapers and I read it’s best to air dry them so the dryer doesn’t mess up the elasticity. Also, what detergent do you recommend and any tips with washing (pre-wash? Use cold water? Double wash in washer?)

So I dry all of mine in the dryer as long as it's low heat it's okay. I do put mine in the sun after being used for getting stains out before washing or to dry if they are super soakedbefore putting in the wet bag. When I wash I use rinse cycle first to get all the pee out then I wash with tide and a sprinkle of defunkify. Warm water, heavy cycle, a short soak, and extra rinse.

Hi! My baby is 10 months old and I started with cloth diapers at a few days old. We have used all in ones, covers with inserts, and currently are using pocket diapers with inserts for night times. We had a big a frame type drying rack to dry them but found it took up too much space so we got a smaller wall mounted rack. Sometimes I just throw them on the backs of the chairs in the dining room too. The inserts and cloth wipes I just throw into the dryer. I used to use tide free and clear for detergent. Now I just use whatever detergent the family uses for laundry. I don’t pre treat at all. But if she poops I have a hose bidet attached to my toilet and I rinse of as much as possible. I have a small ikea wire trash can and whenever that fills up I do laundry. Usually every day or two. I do a heavy load with cold water. They don’t smell at all afterwards and aren’t super stained. I’ve heard that if they do stain a bit you can dry them in the sun. I haven’t had to do this yet.
