Hold them in the back if absolutely needed, but we would always walk with the buggy instead
There’s the Maxi Cosi nomad if you travel a bit. Cost per hol wouldn’t be too much? However it’d still mean lugging it around if you’re just using taxis etc. Older kids can use an inflatable booster like Bubblebum We had car hire so took a car seat Joie Steadi as we wanted him rear facing.
Most infant seats will last most babies until around 18-24 months, so worthwhile checking the height/weight limits because that would probably be the most convenient option. If not, there are a few travel seats which would work. RF is obviously safest so the TinySeats 2 is a good option - foldable seat, isofix installation, RF up to 125cm/23kg, then can be used as a HBB until 135cm. There's also the Maxi-Cosi Nomad but it's FF only, up to 105cm, which is much less safe than RF especially for such a young child. You could also get something like a Joie Tilt or Steadi, which aren't technically travel seats so still quite bulky, but less so than a spin seat and significantly lighter. Whilst it's legal for LO to travel in a taxi without a car seat (at least in the UK so presumably also in other European countries) it's definitely something I wouldn't be at all comfortable with. Even a hire seat would make me quite nervous because you can never be completely sure it'll be safe and suitable for LO
We're getting the maxi cosi nomad x
@Hayley that was also my idea.. the heavy lump. I simply refused, just renting one for abroad along with a car
@Jelena see we only need to get from airport to hotel - not hiring a car or anything 😏
@Hayley Then you ask the taxi service
@Jelena thank you. I’ve been to Spain a lot and can’t say I’ve ever seen this in the taxi rank (we just line up outside arrivals)
@Hayley hopefully out of the hundreds of taxis out there there’s at least one with a car seat!
I asked on my insta story yesterday 🤯 Some of mates TAKE THEIR 360😳
