Does anyone else's endo belly stick out like mine?

I haven't had an official diagnosis via the operation. But I've had ultrasounds and an MRI and was told I have endometrioma's and it looks consistent with endometriosis and adenomyosis. It sticks out so much I look pregnant.

Yes. My mum and aunt have been like this, they are both officially diagnosed, my aunt is after surgeries, mum is waiting for one. I have a belly like this (plus other symptoms) and mum told me to get myself checked out. My other aunt (passed away early) and grandma both suspect to have it too. I don’t know much about endo but I’m deffo getting checked out, and will ask if it’s genetic. Have anyone else in your family experienced this too? Let me know how things are if you get checked out before I do x

Yeah mine sticks out a lot, no matter what. I’ve had one surgery and are awaiting some more x

@Judy No one in my family has been diagnosed with it. But have had symptoms and I think they ignored it. My sister was told she had PCOS but now told she doesn't have it anymore. Which is odd. My mum also had very painful periods and gets lots of tummy issues but never got checked for it. I'm sure they have it too but never really got it investigated. I'm pushing to see a specialist in the hope that I might get the operation. I don't want it but the bloating is really getting me down and the signs are pointing to me having endo according to my MRI

I’m so sorry to hear that, endometriosis really is just slowly starting to be taken seriously and more and more women are being checked for it and more are speaking up about it. When you grow up you’re being told “periods meant to hurt” when they absolutely shouldn’t so that way of growing up as well you think it’s normal. I’ve been there too until my aunts diagnosis followed by my mums and others having symptoms but never checking it. I’ve booked myself in with GP today to start looking into it. If you’d like to continue chatting don’t be shy to send us a PM we can go through it together x

@Judy thanks Judy! Happy to keep in touch. It's not the nicest journey but makes it more bearable knowing others are going through it too.
