Nurofen for teething?

Has anyone used nurofen for teething. My almost 6 month old has his two bottom teeth already but it seems some other ones are looming. He’s so irritated and always wanting to chew on my finger. I’ve brought every toy, give him teething granules, I’ve tried calpol and anbesol but nothing seems to provide relief. Distraction, putting him in the carrier and cooking is the only remedy at the moment lol. But yeah does anyone recommend nurofen?
