What do you mean by not communicating? Like at all? Or not able to tell you they've done a wee? Xx

@Tanya like not being able to say wee or poo. Only just starting to talk.

That makes sense. My eldest (3l I potty trained at 18 months and had a limited vocabulary, obviously, so definitely possible. A few weeks leading up to it, though, I would show your child the nappy and say wee or poo and do a couple of hours nappy free time a day. Don't put pressure on it. My boy, September 2022, shows all the signs of being ready but gets distracted so easily he has accidents all of the time - he's definitely not ready xx

I'm currently training her to toilet which she prefers. Since she has limited vocabulary. I just set routine for her to understand. Before bedtime, I take her to toilet even if she doesn't do anything,we applaud together to say good job and encourage her. In the morning when she wake up and also after each meal that's how I'm training her so far I'm getting well to do poo in the toilet but you have to stay constant which isn't easy but at least she is enjoying going toilet and washing her hand. You can try this then hopefully she or he will get it. Hope it helps

@Angel thank you
