Potential bruise?

My son would normally be in bed around 7-8ish. It is 9pm and he is still wide awake screaming in pain. I just assumed it was because he is currently teething, I’ve given him some calpol earlier and then noticed this on his cheek. Does anyone know what it could be? I was thinking it’s a bruise from when he is crawling on the floor but seems to odd for it to be from that. Any suggestions and what should i do??

Is there an older sibling? Could it be teeth marks

it looks like a bite mark, like lauren said, is there any other children he’s been around? it definitely looks like a mouth has bitten him… but then i don’t know, definitely bruising! x

Looks like a bite mark x

100% bite mark. Siblings ? Nursery ?

That’s a bruised bite mark, not from teething.. 😳

@Lauren No he’s my only child and he’s not in nursery yet, it does look like a bite mark but i didn’t think it could be due to the fact how would he get it?

@Jelena which is why i’m bit confused cuz where would it of came from 🧐

that’s what i’d be most concerned about it is the how did he get it has anyone watched the baby recently that could potentially be malicious or abusive? i’m deeply concerned as that is a definite bite mark lovely xx

That’s very odd. Do you have someone you live with who might have wanted to bite the cheeks (very gently) and then ended up biting hard?? It’s sounds very weird but there are people out there who think it’s cute!

@Jelena no it’s just me and my partner 🧐

and you’re certain your partner hasn’t bitten your sons cheek? x

Have you been to soft play or baby groups?

@Sinead no he works 8am-10pm most days he doesn’t normally see him! x

@Lauren No only thing we’ve done was his grandparents but i was there most of the time.

Could be a reaction from lipstick/ gloss. I would get it checked out asap especially echase of the discolouration
