Breastfeeding

A little bit of a weird one here.. My little one is 4 and a half months and I gave up breastfeeding because at the time I was just getting over a traumatic birth, my milk wasn’t coming in enough and I was recovering from a c section so it was mentally too much for me to handle trying to pump aswell and BF all the time. However fast forward 4 months and we are in such a better place and I have just found out that I still and producing a tiny bit of milk. Would I be possible for me to start BF again or has that ship sailed?

Yeah it’s possible but it takes some work. You need to start pumping, and latching baby as much as possible. The key is the more you stimulate milk production, which is through latching baby and/or pumping, the more milk you produce. Hope that helps!

Lots of skin on skin and hydration it will be possible 😀

Definitely possible - lots of skin to skin, guiding baby with your nipple, pumping, practising a deep latch. but I’d speak to a lactation specialist to get that extra support. They’d be the best help
